In the early hours of Tuesday morning, emergency services were called to a suspicious structural fire at the Mooroopna Recreation Reserve. Upon their arrival, they were met with the Heritage Listed "Ted Davis Stand" fully ablaze.

The stand is not only a well-utilised viewing point for Mooroopna Cricket and Football games but also served as "The Chook Shed," housing essential equipment regularly used by the cricket club.

Sadly, many of these items-particularly the centre wicket covers, several cylinder mowers, a roller, and various smaller items-were destroyed in the fire, and unfortunately, they are not covered by our insurance.

The Mooroopna Cricket Club would be incredibly grateful for any donations that people may be kind enough to contribute to help us purchase replacement equipment. This will ensure we can continue preparing our cricket wickets and supporting our local community.
