February 14, 2019 Corona and surrounding areas experienced massive rain storms and severe weather causing many road closures, power lines down, freeway collisions and probably some damages to many homes... including mine. When I arrived home from work i heard a waterfall coming from down the hallway and as I entered my room I was greated with a collapsed ceiling due to the aggressive rain and storms. Much of my furniture is damaged as the room was flooded. The carpet is saturated and will need to be torn out and replaced. As we inspected the house we came to find more drooping ceilings in the bathroom and surrounding rooms. Our backyard is flooded and our roof is torn apart. I live in Corona in a home with my daughter and I care for my disabled parents. I have the only source of income coming into the household and our home owners insurance will not cover the repairs as we have been unable to maintain/replace the roof as needed in recent years. My hope is that with the help from my friends, family and community I may be able to repair the ceilings and carpet if not the roof as well. I will follow up with more pictures soon.
