Funeral Expenses for Nelson Yettman

As many of you know my dad Nelson  E. Yettman has recently lost his battle with lung cancer. While his health insurance has taken care of a large portion of the burden of medical bills, we have since found out he did not have a life insurance policy. This normally would have been used to take care of all of his funeral and memorial service fees. Fees we are finding out must be paid prior to any funeral home conducting any burial or memorial service for him. My sister and I have done all we can do and like most everyone live paycheck to paycheck and do not have the means to just come up with $10,000. And with all of my mom's medical issues as well not withstanding, we understand now why Dad did what he did by not having one. He was living in the present for mom and him to take care of all of their medical needs while he was still alive. This also explains why he never opted out for a partial retirement from the Navy after serving for 25 years, also deciding to get everything up front, leaving my mom with nothing for the future once he passed, but that's a whole other issue. Anyways with no retirement, savings, credit cards, or life insurance to pull from we are stuck in a situation that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. I am asking from our hearts to yours, please help me, my sister, and my mom give my dad what he deserves, what he has earned. A decent celebration of life. One last goodbye for us, his friends, his family. Thank you for you understanding and generosity during this time of need and closure.
