Prayers for Pappy
Donation protected
In early October our dad was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, small cell carcinoma. Because of how aggressive his cancer is he started chemo therapy right away. He has tumors in his neck, liver and chest. First round of chemo ended Jan 2nd and went great his biggest tumor shrunk by 80% and we didn’t need another round of chemo or radiation therapy. Unfortunately on Feb 4th he was admitted to the hospital because the tumors in his throat came back full size within the month and were starting to block his air way. They performed a tracheotomy so he can breathe and is currently on a feeding tube. This week he starts his first round of radiation. We are hoping the radiation will shrink the tumors in his neck so he can eat and drink and hopefully have his trache removed at some point in the future. We are asking for any donation to help improve his quality of life before cancer he was working as a waiter and now that is just not possible. Furthermore some of his procedures and medications are no longer covered under his insurance and will be out of pocket. We have been overwhelmed with the love and support for him and beyond thankful to have so many people in our corner. We’ll post updates as we know more information.
