Melissa Weaver

Hi my name is Deidre and I am putting a call out to raise funds for my beautiful cousin Melissa.

In November 2023, she received the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumor, leading to surgery on December 6th of the same year. While a significant portion of the tumor was removed, it was identified as malignant and classified as Stage 4 Glioblastoma.

She is married to Charles and is a loving mother to three children, as well as a grandmother to two young boys.

Since her diagnosis, she has been under the care of an oncologist in Vancouver, who managed to include her in a clinical trial alongside her regular chemotherapy treatments.

Melissa's health challenges have profoundly affected her daily life. Due to the tumor, she is no longer able to work, creating financial strain for the family. Additionally, she cannot drive, and Charles, facing his own health issues, is also unable to drive. The funds we raise will support transportation to and from medical appointments, meals, physiotherapy, medical supplies, and various other daily necessities and personal care items to ensure her comfort.

These funds will also assist in her pursuit of enrolling in a clinical trial in England, which she hopes to undertake alongside her chemotherapy. Additionally, they will support her participation in a specialized treatment offered by the renowned Hoxsey clinic in Tijuana.
