Hi everyone, my name is Ayanna and I am a senior at the University of Illinois Chicago majoring in History and Black Studies. I am in my final semester of school and unfortunately, I do not have the means to pay off my final $6000 tuition fee. If I am unable to pay this tuition balance I will not be able to walk to the stage at my graduation or receive the diploma that I have spent countless hours working towards. Please help me in paying this balance so that I may fulfill my dreams of becoming an official college graduate.
Growing up, I was raised by an amazing family of educators who instilled the value of education into me from a very early age. These morals have stayed with me through my college career as I have pursued my degree. I am currently taking the maximum amount of credit hours offered to undergraduates at my university (18) and maintaining a 3.8 GPA.
In addition to being a full-time student, I also work part-time as a research assistant at the Social Justice Initiative under Dr. Barbara Ransby where I work to support our organization's effort in promoting racial and social justice by nurturing intellectual insurgency and furthering the production of knowledge that seeks to change the world. With my degree, I hope to continue my career in the nonprofit sector, using my understanding of Black history and communications experience to advocate for racial justice throughout the nation.
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day!
