Let's Keep Edwin Walking!
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Sandra and my son is a Stage 4 cancer survivor. At 18 he was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma. He underwent chemo, radiation and 13 operations due to a staff infection. The 14th operation was called a Rotationplasty. It involved the amputation of part of his leg. The prosthetic he needed would be a little different from prosthetics that I have seen in my lifetime. Five years ago, through the generosity of family and friends, he was able to finish paying for his leg. He currently needs a new one. The molding no longer adheres to him the way it should. The socket mold is no longer connected to the carbon fiber. The screws are necked and stripped of threading and the foot part is cracked in half. The prosthetic has become unsafe for him to walk. He risks it coming apart, him falling and breaking his ankle and dislocating his hip. Blue Cross and Fidelis denied him a prosthesis. Please donate to keep Edwin walking! He loves exercising, hiking, swimming and light sparring! Please donate or send a kind word!
