Hi, I am Lavetta Smith and I have Sarcoidosis of the Lungs. I am in need of having to undergo a lung transplant at Duke Transplant Hospital in Durham, NC.

I am raising funds to help cover the costs of housing in both Durham and Charlotte NC. , travel, medical out of pocket expenses and medication.

In order for me to be put on the list to receive the transplant, I have to relocate to Durham anywhere from 6 months to 1 year and I must have at minimum $15,000 in funds.

Having this lung transplant will allow me to be healthy again. To live life and enjoy every single day without having difficulties breathing, being on oxygen 24/7, walking and doing simple daily tasks.
