Curt has been diagnosed with a blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. He is now back in the states at a hospital in Arkansas. He is receiving the best care and continuing to improve.
He is now in for the fight of his life! Multiple Myeloma is the second most common form of blood cancer and sadly, has ont of the lowest five-year relative survival rates of all cancers. But while there is no cure, great progress is being made towards a cure.
I'm raising money for Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) by competing in the 2016 Ironman in Lake Placid NY as a member of MMRF team for cures.
The work ahead for me? Swim 2.4 miles, bike 112. miles and run 26.2 miles and to raise at least $10,000 for MMRF. Training for this event is going to be a challenge, but nothing compared to the challenges faced by Curt and all others battling Multiple Myeloma.
You can follow Curt's progress see some photos and leave him a message at www.caringbridge.org
No matter the size every donation is greatly appreciated and with the power of numbers we can reach this goal to help MMRF towards a cure.
Thank you for your Support!
Sincerely
Glen
