Ashleigh’s Lung Transplant




My name is Ashleigh, I am 24 years old and I am from Louisiana.I currently live in Minnestoa where I am studying Biblical and Theological Studies with a minor in Evangelism and Church Planting.

I was born with a genetic lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis. Over the course of my life, my lungs have deteriorated and I am in need of a double lung transplant. My current lung function is at 28%. I was recently approved for transplant and as of January 10, 2018 I have been listed for transplant on the UNOS donor list! 

Once I recieve the call for transplant, my mom is going to fly from Louisiana up to Minnesota to be with me and take care of me around the clock for the following 3-4 months. My mom is a single mom with 4 kids and teaches High School science. In order for her to fly up here she will have to take leave from work for those months without pay. I decided to try and start a gofundme to help raise money for all of the expenses that are sure to ensue over this period of time. 

Donations will be used for:
Rent (both here and back home)
Food (since my mom wont be working during those months)
Gas
Possible cost of medications/equipment needed
Any medical bills
Parking for bi-weekly clinic visits
Anything health related
