Stephanie Bader (known to many as "Pep") is a 12-year-old girl who is in the midst of a fierce battle against Glioblastoma. Pep and her family have been in this battle since an August 2013 diagnosis. Soon after this diagnosis, Stephanie underwent brain surgery where only 70% of the tumor was successfully removed. Since surgery, Pep's treatment program consisted of radiation and chemotherapy, concluding in December. Today, Pep continues chemotherapy treatment in hopes to attack the remaining tumor growth.

Pep is not only a loving, sweet young girl, but despite these challenging times, she has shown so much strength and passion. She smiles every day and continues to exhibit a positive attitude as she fights this disease. Stephanie and her family have touched my heart in so many ways and are truly an inspiration to everyone.

The emotional drain of this battle can prove to be overwhelming for everyone involved. But the emotional "cost" is only part of it: the financial burden to the Bader family for the treatment and care is significant. It's not only expensive, but insurance limitations have started to take from their personal funds.
