Coco's medical bills
Hi I am Wendy and this is my dog Coco, when I adopted Coco she had a collapsing trachea and has required medicine for the last five years. Recently, we discovered she has developed a heart condition called Mitral Value Disease which came as quite a shock! She kept gagging and chocking and turning blue, (her tongue and gums turn blue), her heart was racing, nothing was working. She could not even play with her favorite toys without chocking and turning blue. Her vet said Coco had fluid in her lungs, I was sitting out in the car in March going how? She put her first on a diuertic it barely helped, she said we needed to do tests. I said okay do them not a second thought! Please save my dog as I sat in the car, outside Tufts sobbing that she was going to die! I have spent many days at Tufts over the last several months for her to have tests done. Having bloodwork, echocardiogram, ultrasounds, xrays etc. That alone has added up to over $900.00. Currently, her monthly medicine is costing upwards over $400.00 including her very heart healthly dog food made by Royal Cain. Luckily she has an excellent caring vet and Tufts has been wonderful! I cannot believe I am asking for help, although I am embarrassed, I am worried I can not keep going like this with out some relief. I adopt all my animals and have always put them first. Over the last six months, I have had total knee replacement surgery, and my husband asked for a divorce six weeks before my surgery. I know I am not the only one going through tough times, but I would really appreciate any help for Coco. Thank you Wendy
