Hi everybody, it was hard to let my good friend Nathan convince me to do this, but just thinking about the possibility of not being here for my daughter for her entire life was enough to push me to know it was definitely the right decision.

I've been a type 1 diabetic since I was a young child, so most of my life. Unfortunately, I've also been uninsured the last few years as well, due to most insurances that are even close to affordable end up making my necessary monthly meds WAY more expensive, as well as not covering hospital visits if I end up in the ER (which I have, over 50 times in the last 6 years of being uninsured). Every single time I've ended up in the ER has been due to my Type 1 in some form, most often due to having a massive seizure because my sugar drops too low to be able to quickly fix, before it's too late. Having a constant BGL would almost guarantee that wouldn't happen, as it sends warnings to more than one smart phone when the wearer's sugar is TRENDING low, which means, it would save me from having seizures BEFORE my sugar drops too low, which would be the biggest life changing thing for me and my family. That would mean no more 4 a.m. ER trips where I lose consciousness for 40+ hours, no more brain damage from massive seizures, and most importantly, NO MORE risk of not being around to raise my daughter for the next 20 years.
