Help us support our Grandad!

As many of you already know, our grandad Nicos has dedicated his whole life to being the provider for his family, a helping hand to extended family, friends, orphans, strangers, absolutely anybody in need of support/charity. He is the most generous man I know, and i'm sure many of you reading this, who have had the pleasure of his company, can at least recall a time he hasn't let you pay for your dinner! This isn't because he's ever been a billionaire with lots to spare, he simply would rather have nothing than see others struggle. A prime example of this is how he opened a small mini market in the 80s, and rather than focusing on making business boom, my grandparents used this opportunity to give free produce and delivery to those in need such as the elderly war widows from their neighborhood.

He has worked tirelessly as a master tailor since the age of 13 until a few months ago, at the age of 83! (He still looks like a 63 year old movie star) However, he recently discovered to have cancer and has been failed over and over again by the NHS. Over the past few months, they misdiagnosed him more than once, lied about meetings that never took place, and quite literally abandoned him. He was therefore forced to be treated privately, where specialist doctors have confirmed that he is an otherwise healthy man who is able to undergo treatment, and do not understand why the NHS advised against this (they obviously do not want to spend any money on old people).

Going private has proved to be extremely costly. My grandparents have had to spend over £20,000 in just 2 weeks for consultations, tests and scans alone. He has just started chemo, costing £10,000 each time he goes. They are now selling their house in order to receive the funds they need to continue his treatment.

I find it extremely upsetting that my grandparents who have worked their whole lives, now have to face a huge financial burden because they have been neglected and denied their right to be offered free, reliable medical care.

After everything my grandad has done for me and all his grandchildren, I cannot just sit here and watch this happen. He is a very proud man and wouldn't be comfortable asking anybody to help. So, i'm asking if friends and family can help us grandchildren give a gift back to my grandad, which would go towards his treatment and hopefully a trip to Cyprus/Italy to see his family when he's hopefully feeling better in between treatments <3

We would be endlessly grateful for the smallest of donations. Thanks in advance and love you all xxx
