On October 11th Kylie’s parent found out that Kylie had a MASSIVE tumor (the size of a grown mans fist). With it being so large they were for sure it was cancer. After running test they have found it it isn’t cancerous but just as bad if not worse!
Kylie has a extremely rare disease called Juvenile ossifying fibroma (JOF) is rare, benign tumor of the craniofacial (skull and face) bones. It is considered a "fibro-osseous neoplasm" because it is characterized by an overgrowth of bone. The tumor behind Kylie’s eye is about the size of a grown mans fist. If they do not go in and take it out it will continue to grow and eventually start pushing against her brain. The surgery for this is EXTREMELY dangerous and also with Kylie being so young! They will have to cut into her face remove all of her bones in the left side of her face to remove the tumor but there is a 50/50 chance that the tumor will grow back. This will cause her to never look the same again and also her teeth on her left side will never grow back. They said that just because it isn’t the big C word doesn’t mean they are even close to out of the water because this is just as bad! She will have to deal with this for the rest of her life!
