Fighting for Heidi

On October 15, 2020 Heidi Darcy had an emergency appendectomy.  Luckily her surgeon (Dr. G) suggested that she get a colonoscopy because of the inflammation of her organs and infection throughout her abdominal wall. 

On February 9, 2021 Heidi had her colonoscopy. Two days later, Dr G called to tell her she has colon cancer. 

February 18, 2021 Heidi had colectomy surgery. Unfortunately the surgery was much more invasive than Dr. G had planned. Losing the right side of her colon, a portion of her small intestine and other inflamed tissue (anywhere the tumor penetrated her abdominal wall). 

Heidi is recovering well, but does now need chemotherapy every two weeks for the next 6 months. Her treatment begins March 15, 2021. 

Heidi has already missed 2 months of work from her appendectomy and will now be out of work for another 7 months. She is the soleprovider for her household and needs as much support/ help as she can get. 

Any funds will help Heidi with her expenses ( rent, utilities, groceries, medical bills, etc,)
