Rhonda Block Tankersley Health Cost

This is Rhonda's friend Belinda. Rhonda was extremely hesitant to do this but I insisted. She has been so much to so many people and was the instigator of many "care-taking" initiatives of our high-school class in recent years that I truly believe we now have a chance to "pay it forward."
Rhonda re-entered our lives in early 2009 when we began to plan a 30 year high school class reunion (PNG Class of 79). She entered as a whirlwind. Not a quiet voice but a roaring wind. She stirred us up and made us see ourselves in new ways. We became bound together in love and generosity and Rhonda was a huge reason why. From her daily generosity of taking a single Mom under her wing and paying her way to all of our events, to driving to Texas from Louisiana daily (for months) to care for a classmate with terminal cancer, to caring for our friend in the Austin also with cancer, Rhonda did not hesitate to give completely of herself. She, along with fellow classmate Emmett Hollier and other classmates, set up fundraising campaigns for fellow students' families. Her energy and care for others really knew no boundaries. Rhonda was not afraid to help our classmates face death as you can see with some of the photos of things she did.
Now Rhonda needs us. A few years after this, Rhonda began to have many complicated medical problems. She was diagnosed with Lupus which is an autoimmune disease that caused multiple health concerns all over her body. She also had a back surgery and the surgeon made mistakes that have caused her to have paralysis in one leg and chronic pain. She is now using a leg brace and often is in a wheel chair. This vibrant "whirlwind" of a woman is now frequently tired and almost always in pain.
The medical costs have taken a toll on her family. My desire in setting up this GoFundMe is, not only to help them with medical costs, but to let Rhonda know how much her classmates and the whole world can recognize an angel among us. We can be an "angel" to her when she now needs us. Please be as generous as you can.
The money will be used to pursue care that will reduce her pain and suffering and hopefully she will have a quality of life that she deserves. She and Tank, her husband, could use the money immediately as they already are burdened with many medical bills. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
