Brittni is a life-long resident of Frederick County. As a valued member of our community, she has been active in 4-H, participated in sports at Walkersville High and then played soccer at Hood College.  She was awarded the Kim Servedio Award, which is given to student athletes who demonstrate sincerity, selflessness and optimism. 


While participating in these activities she sustained multiple head injuries.  As a result of these injuries, she now suffers from TBI long term side effects & post-concussion syndrome.  These symptoms have greatly affected her quality of life.


Two surgeries have thus far been unsuccessful in easing her symptoms.  Top neurologists feel there is nothing more they can do to help.  However, there is HOPE!  A cutting-edge facility, the Carrick Brain Center in Georgia - specializing in these injuries - has agreed to take her case.  This requires a 10-day stay.  Unfortunately, they do not accept health insurance and the estimated cost for her treatment is $20,000.
