Our Uncle Steve, the reason my sister and I moved here and have been fortunate enough to call this beautiful island of Maui home for 17 years, is finally willing to accept help.

It's hard to explain the feeling of almost guilt asking for help when others have lost so much more but it's a reality that everyone is facing so that we can rebuild.

He came to Maui on a surf trip with friends at 21 and never left. He has countless friends on this island, has never hesitated to help others even when it put him out, and has continued this effort even after losing his home and camper van at Spinnaker.
