On Thursday (10/10) evening my father, Adam Chavez was on his way to a Bible study in Kingwood. A few hours before then he told me that if he could stay up until 11 to watch the Texans play, he should be able to tough out a late night learning more about the Word. If you do not know, my dad has to clock in at work each morning at 3:00am. He’s been doing that for the past 25+ years. On his way to the Bible study this evening, he was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle who unfortunately veered into his lane. He was rushed to the hospital in which he suffered a fractured arm, spinal fracture, 10 bruised / broken ribs and a broken sternum. He is scheduled for surgery on 10/11. If you know my father, he has a heart of gold and always goes out of his way to help others. We have a long way to go on the road to recovery but we know God is faithful and will bring us through it.
