To all my friends, family, and anyone taking there time to read this message. My name is Victor Gutierrez I am 35 years old, a dedicated family man who takes care and provides for his wife and parents, a dedicated hard worker never taking a day off, and an extremely interesting boring person. On July 7th 2021 my life completely changed, I was diagnosed with a rare disease schleroderma to no fault of my own. Since then I have been fighting for my life and grasping for every last breath of fresh air as life is taken away from me slowly. After 3 prolonged hospital tours, many test and procedures I am now hospitalized at Stanford hospital cardiac unit awaiting a heart and lungs transplant fighting for a second chance. Its been a long and excruciating road but I am not ready to give up. I am thankful to be here with the possibility of a second chance, but this why I am asking for help. I have a growing list of medical needs and a never ending hospital bill along with medication needs for the rest of my life. I am no longer able pay for these as I have exhausted all my savings and will not be able to work as I recover for an unpredictable amount of time.
