My name is Amanda Eskew. Some of you may know me as Mandy. I am currently in a long-term care facility as I am trying to regain the ability to walk or even stand to transfer myself to my wheelchair.
I have multiple sclerosis, and back in March, I got very sick with pancreatitis and a raging UTI. It affected my brain, and I went a little crazy for a while. My doctor then decided I was bipolar and prescribed me a bunch of antipsychotic medications, which only made things worse. I was eventually transferred to Waters of Winchester and out of his care. Here, they managed to retest my urine and see that I still had a raging UTI and finally get it treated and gone. They also tapered me off all the antipsychotic medications, and my mind became clear again. It was the scariest time of my life, and it was pretty scary for my family too.
I started this GoFundMe because I need money to pay my bills while I'm here. See, I got my mind back, but I lost the ability to walk or stand, and I need therapy to hopefully regain that so I can go home. But with all my money going here to pay for my care, I need money to pay my bills and help me keep my home so I have one to go home to.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any donations are appreciated. Even a dollar helps. And please share.
