LT Sean Christopher Snyder was a Navy pilot whose helicopter MH-53E Sea Dragon went down after routine maintenance, Wednesday, January 8, 2013. Sean was among 4 other crew members in flight when the aircraft crashed approximately 18 nautical miles off the coast of Virginia Beach. Four of the five crew members were rescued and taken to the hospital for immediate care- 2 were admitted in 'critical condition'- where they later died from injuries and 2 are expected to make a full recovery. Of the 5 in flight- Sean Snyder was the only sailor missing. The search began immediately in hopes of rescuing Sean from the freezing Atlantic waters. After 6 days of continuous research, the body of Sean Snyder was identified by Navy divers in the cockpit of the helicopter. Sean was a decorated pilot, a dedicated husband, father and man of Christ. He is survived by his wife Amy and his 4 children- Sean II, Brady, Ethan and Makayla. Sean will forever leave behind his legacy of faith, courage and honor. He died a hero- and a soldier known for his dedicated love to serve his country.
As we sit here and mourn the tragedy of recent events- we often often times asked how we're able to help a family who is faced with unimaginable circumstances. Over the past week we have come together to form an event where we can help a desperate family who has been faced with unimaginable circumstances. If we were able to make the Snyder family smile in a time of tragedy, our mission was accomplished.As dedicated wives and mothers- husbands and fathers, we are pleading for your help to spread the word. Sean fought for our country..and now it's in our hands to help this family fight tragedy. As we sit here and mourn the tragedy of recent events- I have often times asked how I'm able to help a family who is faced with unimaginable circumstances.
The search for our missing hero continues. Sean Snyder was a Navy pilot who's helicopter went down off the Virginia Beach coast last Wednesday. The search for Sean continues. He was a dedicated husband, father to 4 children and man of Christ. His family has so many questions but if there's one thing for certain, it's that EVERYONE is praying for Sean to be reunited with his family.
As a community, we often ask ourselves HOW we can help... So over the past week we have come together to form an event where we can help a desperate family in need. If we were able to make the Snyder family smile in a time of tragedy, our mission was accomplished.
As dedicated wives and mothers- husbands and fathers, we are pleading for your help to spread the word. Sean is fighting for our country..and now it's in our hands to help this family fight tragedy.
