Headstone fund for Mike Gilbert
Donation protected
Hi my name is David Warner. A long time friend of Mike Gilbert . Mike was born in July 1951, went to King David Infants School and later went to Bridgewater Grammar. He was a professional photographer in the early part of his life . Then found himself in the antiques business opening Altrincham Antiques . Known for selling odd and interesting pieces of art and memorabilia . The later part of his life he lived in London as was involved in the film industry.
Mike was an amazing man, a real character, funny and some would say a little eccentric and a bit quirky but with a big heart .
He was loved by so many.
A true gentleman.
An amazing character that sadly had a long term illness and a slow painful death.
He would do anything for his friends and family.
So we must do all we can for him .
Let us give him the send off he warrants.
Sadly at present, he is not resting in peace and deserves too!
He died nearly 2 years ago.
In the Jewish religion it is normal for the gravestone to be in place within a year . Regrettably it’s nearly 2 years in June since his passing.
He was buried as he wished, by the graves of his mum and dad.
He does not have a gravestone to mark his grave.
Let’s ensure please that he does.
If we can get enough money in from your generous donations we can order a lovely one and get his gravestone in place……so we can then have a memorial service for him.
Then finally and only then he can rest in peace , right by his parent’s side .
