Hi, my name is Elle. My daughter’s cat, Oreo, unfortunately was run over a few days ago. She is an indoor cat, however escaped the house (possibly finding a leaf to chase) and came home limping with a squashed and bloodied back paw and leg. We rushed her to the vets and tried to get it sorted without any drastic measures, however after a second vet trip to change the dressing and to check up on how it’s doing, it isn’t looking great. The vet offered to amputate or put to sleep, putting her to sleep doesn’t seem a viable option for a young and otherwise healthy cat. As well as my 6 year old daughter absolutely idolises her. The vets have applied for a grant from the blue cross which (if they accept the application) will put a maximum of £300 towards the cost. The vets have estimated £800-1000, any donations are so so gratefully received. If I am lucky to have any money left over after paying the vet bills then it’ll all go towards Oreo’s recovery anyway.
if you made it this far, thank you for even reading and considering
