Today, 11-7-2023, Allison Utz left this world leaving her young son and her mother, Deanna Close, devastated and without a home, income, or a car. Allison was a beautiful 30 year old girl whose life was cut short by cancer.
Five months ago, Allison was showing signs of decline, the oncologist gave the news that the tumor was growing again. Allison made the difficult decision to not seek treatment after undergoing years of treatment in the past. She entered into hospice care and died peacefully with her mother at her bedside. Deanna was forced to stop working to care for both her Daughter and Grandson.

Four years ago Allison, Deanna’s daughter, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. She was given one year to live, but with chemo and radiation the size of the tumor was reduced and she lived four years. But the tumor caused traumatic brain injury leaving Allison unable to care for herself or her seven year old son including the loss of the ability to drive, work, parent, or perform day to day activities.
With Allison’s diagnosis Deanna returned to Carroll County where all three of them moved in with Deanna’s mother, Linda.

A year ago Deanna’s mother died in a tragic vehicular accident. This left Deanna, her daughter Allison, and grandson without a place to live or a vehicle. Her friend was kind enough to offer them a small room for all three to live in and this is where Allison took her final breath.
Deanna’s Grandson, Liam, is a smart, kind, energetic little boy. He is in the 4H and has a small calf that he cares for and shows. Friends have been kind enough to take the calf during this trying time.

We are writing this on behalf of Deanna and Grandson. We have known this family for over 20 years. We are raising the fund to help this family that has suffered such tragic losses in the past year.
The funds will be used for:
  • Housing
  • Food
  • Medical expenses
  • Unplanned expenses - including car repairs
  • Clothing
  • School supplies for the grandson
  • College fund
  • Bills

All donations will go directly to Deanna’s bank account so the funds can be used immediately for the previously mentioned uses.

Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated and if you are not able to contribute at this time please pass this along to other people. Thank you so very much! It will mean the world to Deanna and Liam!
