Help bring my Dad home
Donation protected
As most of you likely know my Dad (Gary Oslund) was diagnosed in December 2020 with ALS (Lou Gherigs Disease). In February he had a feeding tube placed and May 3, 2021 he was admitted to the hospital with breathing issues which ultimately lead to my Dad having to have a Trachestomy and Ventilator. My Dad has been in a hospital and now in a Convelascent Hospital ever since May 3rd. My Dad is a Vietnam War Navy Veteran and since this is a service related disability the VA has been very helpful to my Dad and family through this process but that brings me to the reason I am asking for help. The VA will not let my Dad come home until the required ADA modifications are completed on my parents home. My Mom found out this last weekend that they need to pay $50,000.00 out of their pocket towards the required construction costs.
I am hoping that our friends and family might be able to help offset this cost for my parents and for us to be able to bring my Dad home.
Anything you can find in your heart to give towards bringing home a deserving man to his family would be very much appreciated. His wife of 48 years, his 4 children, his 18 grandchildren and his Great Grandson appreciate every last penny.
