In early December, Jessica contracted the most lethal form of bacterial meningitis. She was given a 20% chance of survival at the time of diagnosis. God provided the blessings and she has been in recovery for over 9 weeks now. There have been and will be a few hurdles to get over before she is fully recovered. Her brain infection flared back up about a month after being on antibiotics and they had to switch treatment plans. Bacterial meningitis has a long recovery time. While she is making good progress, the neurological deficits that come with this type of infection keep her restricted to home. Her primary focus is on healing her body. She can not drive or take care of herself fully yet. She recently had her picc line pulled and is having some set backs. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
