Team Bob Fry

On September 17th, 2018 Bob Fry had a hemorrhagic stroke caused by undiagnosed high blood pressure that caused a brain bleed. Bob is a loving, dedicated, caring, hard working, and persistent husband, dad, father in law, soon to be grandpop, brother, employee, and friend. Many people describe Bob as quiet yet witty, and the voice of reason in the room. Due to the stroke, Bob’s speech and right side have been compromised. His speech has improved over the past two weeks, but his expressive language is sometimes confused. He is unaware that he has a right side, but he has been working diligently on looking at his right hand and trying to focus on moving his fingers. Currently, Bob is able to communicate with his family through short sentences. He is able to express his love for his family and never stops telling Deb, Katie, Kinsey, and Karlee how much he loves them. He has also been asking for Scott, Slade, Chris, and all the pups in the family. He is being treated by dedicated medical professionals who have given him the utmost care that he deserves. Bob will remain in the hospital for an uncertain amount of time. Bob is not yet ready to accept visitors, but many people have asked about how they can help Bob and his family. The road ahead for Bob is unknown, but we do know that a lot of hard work from him will be necessary for him to regain speech and strength. It is difficult to tell what skills Bob will regain and when he will be able to leave the hospital. It is also unclear where and what Bob will need when his recovery begins after he leaves the hospital. Our family is so incredibly grateful for the countless texts, calls, cards, and the community of prayer that is holding us up. Your love and encouragement is more than appreciated by Bob and his family. In addition to your continued prayers and kind words Bob’s family has set up a GoFundMe to provide a space for those who feel led to give in a monetary fashion. Finances are a factor in Bob’s recovery - and for a future that is a bit uncertain. Please continue to keep Bob and his family in your prayers, and know that we are relying so heavily on the prayers and support that are pouring in from our loved ones. We can feel God comforting us in this difficult time through each of you, and we are so very grateful for everyone. We will continue to keep you updated as Bob progresses day by day. #TeamBobert
