An Introduction:

Greetings, and thank you for reading.

On behalf of a large, tight knit friend group, we are raising money for our beloved friend Kevin, and his family this Christmas as a surprise.

We are a group of friends from all around the country. Whether our parents liked it or not, we have spent thousands of hours in front of screens playing games, laughing, and growing up, influencing, and leaning on each other online for nearly a decade.

Though it may sound ridiculous to some, we are, in a way, a family. And if there's a right time to step up for one of our own, that time is now.

About Kevin:

Our friend Kevin, 21, from Hurricane, Utah, has nothing but positivity to share with the world; he is probably one of the kindest, warm hearted, compassionate people you would ever meet. Kevin, being the benevolent person he is, has deep aspirations to have a career in healthcare as a nurse or a first responder. He wants to be in a position where he can do what he loves and help others in need. He is currently working a job as a cashier, enjoying the company of his co-workers, and members of his community that he talks to every day.

Over this past summer, over 15 of us got the privilege to meet in person. Many, including Kevin, flew out to Michigan and got together for a friend's wedding. Where we were able to drink, party (his first experience doing so), and got to meet the man, the myth, the legend that Kevin really is.

Kevin and His Family’s Situation:

Life has not dealt our friend Kevin and his family a good hand. Moving from Hawaii, Nevada, now to Utah, Kevin and his Mother, Brother, and Grandmother have been battling homelessness for many many years, with his Father being completely out of the picture.

Our friend has dealt with many challenges in his life that we have never had to worry about, such as food, shelter, eviction, healthcare, and much much more.

Recently, life has dealt that last blow that pushed things over the edge. After being in and out of countless hotels and AirBnBs with a few suitcases - just barely hanging on, he is now closer than ever to having himself and the rest of his family on the streets.

Kevin and his family have no money to save or spare after their paydays, as it all goes towards uninsured medical bills, the cheapest hotels, and the basic necessities for their day-by-day survival.

His biggest problem right now is the inability for him and his family to obtain a stable address which causes many issues such as banking, employment, basic mail, healthcare, and especially the difficulty to obtain a drivers license.

(It takes 6 months to establish residency in Utah)

The only thing holding these four together is their clear unconditional love for one another, and their unarguable strength, courage, and commitment to find themselves a better life for each other.

Our Goal:

It is obvious that through the holes that plague our system, Kevin and his family, at no fault of their own, can not get out of this seemingly bottomless trench themselves. The recent blow dealt to him and his family has made this evident. We, as his friend group, have only seen and heard a sliver of his challenges.

Our end goal is to eventually give Kevin and his family the money for a stable place to call home; something that they absolutely deserve. This would aid them in saving money, building a solid foundation, and getting back on their feet.

Right now, at a bare minimum, we would like to keep our good friend and his family together, worry-free, warm, and full this winter and holiday season.

Any amount truly helps, and we're deeply grateful for whatever support you can give to help Kevin and his family find stability and relief during this incredibly difficult time.
