Hi, my name is Jenny. I’m a small business owner with a cleaning business, and I’m the proud daughter of immigrant parents.
Growing up, I learned very early what fear feels like. Fear of discrimination. Fear of being judged. Fear of staying quiet because speaking up felt unsafe. I remember watching my parents work hard, stay strong, and still worry every day about things most people never have to think twice about.
Those experiences stay with you.
And they shape who you become.
Today, many immigrant families in our community are living that same fear. Parents are afraid to leave their homes. Some have stopped working temporarily not because they don’t want to provide, but because they are scared. And when work stops, life doesn’t. Rent is still due. Kids still need food. Medical needs don’t disappear.
This fundraiser was created from the heart to help families cover basic, essential needs during this difficult and uncertain time things like rent, groceries, utilities, and urgent medical necessities.
This is not about politics.
This is about human beings helping human beings.
As a small business owner, I know how hard it is to survive when income stops. As a daughter of immigrants, I know how heavy fear can feel in your chest. And as someone who has experienced discrimination growing up, I never want families to feel like they are alone or forgotten.
How funds will be distributed
All funds raised will be used only for emergency essentials, including:
• Rent assistance (paid directly to landlords when possible)
• Grocery support through delivery groceries
• Utility bills (paid directly to service providers)
• Urgent medical necessities such as medications or clinic bills
Funds will be distributed carefully, respectfully, and privately to protect families’ dignity and safety. This support is meant to be short-term and need-based, helping families get through a moment of crisis.
Asking for help is never easy. This fund exists so families don’t have to choose between fear and survival.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as powerful.
Together, we can show families that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
— Jenny
