Medical expenses and bills

My name is Samantha Schaffer, I am making this page for my dad Scott Schaffer. A husband of 31 years , a father of 3 girls & a grandfather of 4 he’s an amazing man who has dedicated many years to the local volunteer fire department and is a veteran.

Let’s start by saying no amount of money can help my dad beat cancer, but it most definitely can relieve some worries and stress.

My dad was recently diagnosed Stage 4 High-grade urothelial carcinoma of the right ureter that has metastasized to his lung. Which means that it is not curable and surgery is not an option. The plan is to start chemotherapy, however, his kidneys are not functioning and it thus far is not safe to start treatment.

He has been out of work since 8/31 until further notice due to symptoms. My dad is the main provider for the home, my mom has been on disability and doesn’t not bring very much in. I am asking for as much help as we can get, I would love to see my dad have a little less stress on his shoulders during these challenges.

The goal is to keep the household running and cover medical expenses.

We appreciate anything and everything, even if it’s just sharing this post and getting it out there! I can’t express how much my dad and family truly mean to me and I will do absolutely anything I can to help.
