Help Rebuild Life After Tragic Losses

Hi everybody, with a heavy heart and a lot of hesitation I find myself having to reach out to my friends and family for assistance. In just the past two weeks, I've lost my mother, my home, and everything we owned. My service dog (Peaches) has been in the shelter for two weeks. My niece stole all of my mother's possessions and some of mine. Another "friend" of the family set up a gofundme account for my mothers final expenses, but she refused to give me (the next of kin/power of attorney) the raised funds. Then she showed up at my house with her brother, trying to convince me to relinquish power of attorney so she and my niece could handle the final arrangements. Refusing me my right and duty to take care of my mother in death as I had in life for the past 5 years. When I told her that wasn't going to happen and asked her to leave my home her brother got agitated, pulled out a pistol and shot me. He has been arrested and is currently locked up and facing attempted murder charges. I would have bled out if it wasn't for a Policeman's use of a tourniquet. I was rushed into surgery for a ruptured femoral artery, and spent several days in the hospital. I have had to discharge myself against doctor's recommendations in order to handle affairs with the limited amount of time I have left here. Looking forward the struggle continues, hospital visits, rehabilitation, home hunting, job searches and building back the life Peaches and I deserve to live.

Everything thing said here can be proven and validated. Detective Kaylee Thompson of the Peoria PD wouldn't have brought attempted murder charges to the prosecutors if the evidence, including video evidence, didn't support my version of the events. Ironically it is their video that proves my case.
