Our mother lost her battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer this morning. She was only 45. She was diagnosed with the lung cancer in August, and immediately applied for disability. As of right now, she still has not been approved. My mother has worked since a very young age and faithfully paid into the system her whole life. Now, when its needed most, the system has let her down. We met with the funeral director today about her memorial service and were informed that if the services are not paid in advance, we cannot proceed. Her services are planned for Friday, January 17, 2014 at 6 pm. We have already had so many wonderful donors, but please, if you can any help would be immensely appreciated and we will never be able to express our gratitude. If you cannot help monetarily, please at least share this with others and encourage others to share as much as possible so we may lay our mother to rest.
