Help Shane Thede Fight Multiple Myeloma

This is a call for support for a beloved father, son, and brother, Shane Thede. Recently, at the age of 50, Shane was diagnosed with late-stage multiple myeloma, a challenging cancer that has turned his world upside down. He is a fighter, but this is a battle he cannot win alone.

Many of you know Shane as the friendly bouncer who has kept you safe, or as the top salesperson at Camping World who helped you find your home on wheels. He's a man who has always worked hard to provide for his family. Unfortunately, due to the aggressive nature of his illness and the grueling treatments he must endure, Shane is no longer able to work.

In the coming weeks, Shane will undergo an invasive stem cell replacement through a bone marrow transplant. This intensive treatment involves high-dose chemotherapy followed by an infusion of new, healthy stem cells to rebuild his bone marrow. The procedure is physically and emotionally demanding and will require a lengthy and challenging recovery period.

Shane has a unique way of finding humor in the darkest of times, a talent he shares through his passion for stand-up comedy. It's a testament to his resilience and his ability to find light in the shadows.

On August 30th from 8-10pm, Kathy's Irish Pub, in Rochester, MN, the bar where he worked as a bouncer, is generously hosting a fundraiser to support him, featuring stand-up comedy from many of his peers. It’s a beautiful gesture that shows how much he is loved by his community.

Shane is a cherished part of his family. He is a devoted father to his two sons, Greyson (23) and Dieter (24), a loving son to his father, Steve, and a wonderful brother to Scott. The family recently lost their wonderful mother and matriarch, Sharon, and her absence is deeply felt as they navigate this difficult journey. They know she would have been right here with them, fighting alongside Shane.

The reality is that the family doesn't have the financial resources to cover the mounting medical bills and daily living expenses. They are humbly asking for your help. Any donation, big or small, will go directly to Shane to help ease his financial burden so he can focus on what truly matters: his health and spending time with his loved ones.
