Hi, my name is Barry & I am organising a skydive for one of my closest friends to help him in his battle with MND.

He is the most pleasant, friendly and inviting person in the office (the opposite of me) and yet, me and Dave have grown extremely close over the near 3 years we have known each other, in and out of work.

I would do anything to help him with his lifestyle and try to make things easier for him, although he is the last person that ever asks for help with anything, he is battling and doesn't want to give in to his condition.

Myself and several other colleagues at diamond are doing a skydive to raise money for the local, Black country group branch of MNDA, who help with things that can aid local people with things they may need in the house, modifications etc & MNDA national which funds research into possible treatments.

This is a horrible condition that eats away at the body of the person suffering with it meaning they struggle to do the simplest of things daily.

It may be a small gesture and only a drop in the ocean on terms of raising awareness & advances in potential treatments or cure but every little helps.

The jump is planned for 12th October from a site in Whitchurch
