Early this year my best friend’s son has had to face the news of beening diagnosed with Testicular cancer, at the young age of 17 that caught us all by surprise. Jayden Morones has been healthy all his life and this news really shocked us. He has been so strong with the diagnosis of finding out he has cancer and having to have surgery to remove the tumor. Now finding out his cancer has spread and he will have to go through chemotherapy. It has taken a big toll on Jayden’s life emotionally and physically between being unable to finish his senior year of high school in person with his classmates and also temporarily unable to go back work. The most important thing for Jayden right now is to continue to rest and recover from his surgery and prepare himself physically and mentally for chemotherapy. Jayden has an amazing support system from his family and friends and healthcare team. He continues to show us how strong and brave he is and he plans to keep going strong. Jayden and his family are sharing his story to spread awareness that this can happen at any age and also reach out to the community to help during this time of hardship. Any help and donations will go to his medical expenses and out of pocket costs that insurance does not cover. Due to chemotherapy and Jayden being so young, his doctors are highly recommending he go through a sperm bank to preserve for the future and it is not covered by insurance. I’ve known Jayden all his entire life and his family for many years, they are amazing people and would be very appreciative and thankful for any help and support. Thank you all for taking the time to read Jayden’s story.
