Help a Senior keep her Home

We, her friends for 50 years, created this GoFundMe for our dear Tina Saddington. She is going through a terrible time right now. Her longtime life partner, Ken, had a massive stroke and died in 2019. Because of Covid, the company where she worked for seven years closed, and she lost her job. As a senior citizen, her only income is her small Social Security check. Her house in the San Bernardino Mountains needs a lot of repairs (things Ken, as a contractor, would have done), including a roof and other critical repairs to make it safe and warm through the cold winters. She hasn’t paid the mortgage since the Covid forbearance initiated during the pandemic. She applied for a loan modification, but unfortunately, the lender denied it. She owes $14,000 that is now due immediately. Necessary repairs will also be expensive. She has nowhere else to go. Her little truck is 22 years old with over 300,000 miles and is no longer safe for mountain driving.

 

 

 

 

She hopes and plans to go back to work once it is safe to do so.

 

Tina has no immediate family left, and her friends have been helping as much as they can, but what she needs is more than we can afford. We hope to appeal to anyone who can assist her with the mortgage and still have some left to fix the house, so she will have a safe and healthy place to live.

 

Please note if she isn't able to come up with the mortgage amount, she will lose the house she has been paying for, for almost 25 years. She literally will have no place to go.
