Support amal's family to survive the genocide

Hello, my name is Yahya, a Palestinian from Gaza, and today I’m sharing with you the voice of my mother, Amal a woman whose gentle hands once held scissors and combs, creating beauty and joy in a humble hair salon. But after 666 days of relentless war, everything she built has been reduced to dust.

Here is her message:

"I lost my beloved son in this war. He left behind a grieving wife, a young son, and two beautiful daughters who now ask for their father every night. No words can describe the pain of of watching his children grow up without him."

"I am Amal, a hairdresser from Gaza. I once dreamed of opening a beauty salon where women could find joy, confidence, and dignity. I had a home filled with laughter, love, and the memories of my children and grandchildren. But the war shattered everything. One night, a missile hit my bedroom I had just stepped out moments before. Now, I live in a tent in a refugee camp, with no electricity, no clean water, no internet, no fuel and no life as I once knew it."

Her grandchildren are now battling jaundice, skin infections, and the consequences of severe malnutrition. Their small bodies have withered from hunger and contaminated water. The camp is overrun with waste and disease. There is no medicine. No hospitals. No refuge.

In November 2023, Amal was scheduled to travel to Egypt, then to Turkey and the UAE to begin urgent medical treatment for chronic illnesses. But with the destruction of every hospital in Gaza, that journey never began. Instead, she stood among the ruins of a once-bustling hospital, as dust and grief filled the air.

"My treatment isn’t just about me it’s about hope. I want to get well so I can care for my grandchildren. I want to help them go back to school, give them safety, dignity, and warmth. I want to rebuild the house that held all our memories."

Hope still lives and you can be part of it
