Louis' road to recovery

This is Louis. Louis is our favorite coffeesmith shop dog, always greeting customers and making his rounds. He is loved by the community and coffeesmith staff for his big personality and character he brings to the shop. On Monday night Louis became extremely uncomfortable, having a hard time breathing, moving and being his usual self. That night, he was taken into the emergency vet, where he stayed the entirety of the night. It was concluded that he needed a hemilaminectomy, which is spinal surgery to get a disk removed/fused in his back. Louis had a herniated section of his spine from L1-L3 and was then diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease. Although we are not entirely sure how he was injured, we are hopeful for his complete recovery. The surgery is costly but without it he risks death or possibly paralysis. We would do anything to save our favorite furry friend. Coffeesmith wouldn't be the same without Louis' face trying to steal any pastry he can get his chops on. The Coffeesmith team is organizing this GoFundMe to help the CS Owner and Louis’ owner, Calvin with the financial stress of the procedure and all the aftercare/therapy that Louis will undergo.
