Support a Family Facing Eviction and Hardship

This morning was my court date for the eviction. We have to leave the property by Friday 05/10/2025 but because of the damages to the apartment the payment went down from $8000 to $3,500. I am reaching out to all agencies that help you with first & last months rent also the security deposit. But its such short noti e im not sure how this will all work out but to everyone who contributed & shared I cant thank you enough.

I am at a loss for words to explain the situation I am in. I have hit roadblocks at every corner, like being terminated from my job I was at for over 2 years for not providing a doctor's excuse when I was out sick for 2 days. Not realizing this was a rule, I was denied unemployment benefits because they said I was terminated for not following or abiding by a company's policies and/or rules.

I then put my trust in people who had their own interests in mind instead of my own. I entrusted someone with my money to pay rent for me electronically (on their card), and instead of paying rent, they stole my money. I have filed a police report on this person, but now I am facing eviction unless I come up with $8,000 by 05/09/2025. That is the date for the eviction court.

I wouldn't ask for help, but I also have my 75-year-old mother here, whose only way to get around is on a walker due to knee surgery she needs but can't have done yet because we are unsure where we will be. We will be homeless without the support of others right now. I am open to any and all recommendations, resources, and financial donations as I need all the help I can get. I am happy to share more information privately for those who feel like they need information. I have all screenshots of my rent portal and the case number of the police report I filed.
