I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dad during one of the most frightening and uncertain moments our family has ever faced.

Very suddenly, my dad suffered a ruptured aortic aneurysm, a life-threatening medical emergency that required immediate airlift and emergency open-heart surgery. He is currently in the ICU, and while we are incredibly grateful that he survived, this is only the beginning of a long and difficult road ahead.

In addition to this medical crisis, my dad is a throat cancer survivor who is currently in remission. His body has already endured so much, and this makes his recovery even more complex and physically demanding.

His medical team has been clear that he will be unable to work for an extended period of time and will require months of recovery, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care. This includes ICU care, step-down hospitalization, rehabilitation services, follow-up appointments, medications, and significant physical healing.

The financial impact has been overwhelming. Alongside mounting medical bills, my dad is facing the loss of income during his recovery, as well as everyday living expenses that do not stop during a medical emergency. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him, but the costs associated with this situation are more than we can manage alone.

My dad is someone who has always shown up for others, and asking for help does not come easily. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward:

    •    Emergency medical and hospital bills

    •    Rehabilitation and long-term recovery care

    •    Medications and follow-up treatment

    •    Living expenses while he is unable to work
