Hi, I’m **MMC**. I’m keeping my identity and photos **faceless** to protect my kids/family’s privacy — but I *will* share progress photos from the neck down because strangers deserve receipts.
Over the last while, I’ve gone back to my roots: **lifting weights, eating well, and doing the work**. I’ve lost **65 lbs** so far, and I’m proud of myself in a way I forgot was possible.
Here’s the part that’s hard to say out loud:
I had **two kids later in life**, I’m turning **50** this year, and my stomach… did not “bounce back.” It more or less **filed for independence**.
I can train hard. I can meal prep. I can drink water like it’s my job. But **diet and the gym can only do so much** when it comes to loose skin and abdominal changes after pregnancy and major weight loss.
So I’m asking for help — which is wildly uncomfortable for me, but here we are.
### What I’m fundraising for
I’m raising **$15,000 CAD** to help cover the costs of a **tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)** and the related recovery expenses. This includes things like surgical/facility/anesthesia fees and the not-cute recovery stuff that adds up fast.
### Why this matters to me
This isn’t about chasing perfection — it’s about feeling like my outside matches the work I’ve done on the inside and in the gym.
I also recently **left a challenging marriage**. I won’t trash anyone. It was simply a choice I needed to make for myself and my kids. I’m rebuilding — and I want to feel strong, confident, and at home in my body again.
Where the money will go (estimated)
* Procedure + surgical fees
* Facility + anesthesia fees
* Post-op supplies (compression garments, scar care, etc.)
* Medications + follow-up appointments
* Recovery support (help with groceries/childcare, time off work, etc.)
If you donate, please know this: **even $5 helps**, and sharing this helps *a lot*. If you’re a stranger reading this and you’ve ever rebuilt yourself from scratch — thank you for being part of my comeback.
With real gratitude,
**MMC** ❤️
