Hi, my name is Mary and as I approach retirement, I have now decided to do one of my bucket list.

My chosen charity is now OWEN which stands for

Open Water Education network .

OWEN was set up by Nicola Jenkins who is Owens Mum .

Owen died a few years ago when he jumped into the river at Beeston Rylands to save 2 of his friends who were struggling in the water

He saved both of them but sadly Owen lost his life to the awful undercurrents of the river .

He has become the Hero of Beeston .

Since then his Mum and Dad and a group of people have sought tirelessly to make others aware of the awful dangers that Open water can cause such sad outcomes .

We all have children grandchildren, neices and nephews

this is such a great cause that everyone needs to be aware of

All your donations will go towards OWEN so as to teach as many children as possible the dangers of open water and how to survive it if they were in that situation Sadly Owen wasn't aware of the dangers and lost his life xx.
