Lea Ann Barnett Stroke Recovery Expenses

Hello everyone! I’m Lea Ann Barnett’s sister, Darlena. For those of you who may or may not know, Lea Ann had a major stroke on Sunday, July 3rd. She is currently in the hospital at CAMC General. They were only able to remove 50% of the blockage in her brain. She has lost the ability to talk, use her right arm, and walk. We are waiting for her to be moved to the Medical Rehab floor for occupational, physical, and speech therapy.
Lea Ann’s road to recovery is going to a long one. Her son, Justin Scruggs, will be overseeing her care while she is recovering in the hospital and in rehab. We are fundraising not only to help with her hospital expenses, but also for her utilities, as well as Justin’s everyday necessities, so that some of the financial burden will be lifted, due to missing work, traveling to and from the hospital, and taking care of her household needs. Her son Dylan will be taking care of her cats that she dearly loves.
