On Saturday, January 3, 2026, our friend and dedicated neighborhood dog walker/pet sitter, Alyssa, was struck by a car while walking across PCH in a crosswalk. She was doing what she loves most at the time, walking her dog, Belle. Thankfully, she is alive and stable. However, she sustained injuries that will require significant medical care and healing time.

Doctors have so far advised that she will have a lengthy recovery and we don’t yet even know the full extent of her injuries. As many of us know, her work as a dog walker is not just her passion, it’s also her only source of income.

Alyssa has always shown up for us and our pets with a warm smile, reliability, compassion, and genuine love. It’s our turn to show up for her. Donations will help cover living costs, medical bills, and essentials while she recovers and is unable to work.
