BU Vibes: IMPACT Showcase 2016

Boston University's Vibes, founded in 2000, is the only all-female hip hop dance team at Boston University. The team is composed of 13 diverse and hardworking girls who
share a passion for dance.
In addition to performing in events that raise awareness for the Global Medical Brigades, BU China Care Fund, and the Dizzy Feet Foundation, Vibes has put on its own show, IMPACT, every Spring for the last 14 years. IMPACT is the night we, as a team, work toward for the entire school year. This is our night to give everything we have. This is our night to create bonds and friendships with other Boston dance teams that will last for years to come. This is our chance to bring the Boston dance community together while showcasing what makes our team unique. This show gives our girls a chance to take responsibility for putting on an event of our own, and gives them the sense of accomplishment that comes with creating something they can be proud of. The amount that we value our annual IMPACT showcase cannot be underestimated.
In order to put on this show, we depend entirely on BU's funding. Unfortunately, this year, BU is unable to provide that funding, without which our show will not exist. This is why we are reaching out and asking you to help us make the 15th Annual IMPACT Showcase a reality. Our team is a family. We spend 7 and a half hours per week in rehearsals alone, not including time spent in extra practices and time spent outside of practice focusing on becoming closer not just as a team, but as a group of friends.
Our show is April 3 at 7pm and we need donations made by March 8 for our show to go on! Please help give our newbies their first Vibes IMPACT experience and our seniors a great final show of their college career. Please help us make this show possible!
