Help me Heal! I’m going to have neurosurgery to remove a pituitary tumor
on Feb. 9th. Anything you can contribute will help me and my family!

Dear Friends,
In 2008 I started showing symptoms that something in my health wasn’t right. After a few doctors scratched their heads over the years an MRI in 2013 showed that I have a benign, yet active hormone secreting pituitary tumor. As you know, the pituitary is the hormone center of the body and regulates how our organs work; it sits under the optic nerves and hypothalamus. I was told by doctors that if medication didn’t work I would need surgery. Not wanting to jump into the medication right away I entered a year of herbal supplements, fresh foods and clean eating for my best attempt to heal naturally. In effect, this made me a lot stronger and prepared my body for the medication when I decided to take that leap.
For the last 18 months I have been taking increasing doses of medication but still have intense headaches, brain fog, infertility, adrenal fatigue, and energy changes among other organ symptoms. Last week I saw one of the best neurosurgeon and endocrinologist teams in the world. They determined that the tumor doesn’t have enough receptors to respond to the medication. In addition, the latest MRI results show that the tumor is leaning toward surrounding tissue and may be compressing blood flow to my brain. Needless to say, I’ve given it my all and now it’s time for surgery.
I nearly broke down in tears when the doctor said that after the surgery I would have all the opportunities a healthy 35-year-old woman would have. I’ve put aside my fear of needles, gotten the recovery time off work, and have booked neurosurgery in less than 4 weeks, on February 9th. This has been a long journey and I’m looking forward to being healthy and healed. I’m so lucky to have the help of my work insurance, but it won’t cover the total cost. Anything you can contribute will help me and my family, if you feel inspired to donate you can do so at any amount that is right for you. If you just want to send kind words of support, I would love that too.
Thank you for listening, with love,
Holly
