My name is Noor Thabet, my cousin Doha Salem Thabet, a first-year medical student at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. she achieved a 97.9% average in high school and was passionate about pursuing my dream of studying medicine.
On October 7th, the war broke out, causing widespread devastation in our city. I watched as my university and college were destroyed. The healthcare system has collapsed, leaving our people in desperate need of medical care. In these trying times, there is no room for despair.
As the younger generation, we must advance with determination to rebuild our future and honor our people’s sacrifices. I am currently displaced from my home in northern Gaza and living in a refugee camp in the central region.
I have been accepted into the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University in Egypt. I need $60,000 to cover the costs of evacuating Gaza, crossing the border, and completing my medical studies. Your support will help me continue my education and contribute to rebuilding our healthcare system.
