Melissa is a devoted single mother and a compassionate mental health professional who has spent her career helping others navigate life’s hardest moments.
Now, she’s facing one of her own.
Recently, Melissa was diagnosed with breast cancer, a diagnosis that has turned her world upside down. As a single mom working hard to build a safe and stable home for herself and her daughter, the financial burden of treatment, paired with lost work time and rising housing expenses, has become overwhelming.
Melissa is known by her clients, friends, and community as someone who shows up with warmth, patience, and unwavering support.
You can often find Melissa volunteering at aerial showcases, helping however she can to ensure the show goes off without a hitch. She loves being a "backstage mom" for the young performers, helping them with their nerves, costumes, and encouragement before they fly.
This spirit of support extends to co-coaching acro jams, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for everyone to explore new skills.
She gives encouragement to her rock climbing friends to help them push past their limits.
With 15 years of experience in mental health and Executive Function coaching, she has helped countless individuals and families find stability, confidence, and hope.
She has always been a steady advocate for others. Especially those navigating cognitive, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
Now, she needs a community of support around her.
This GoFundMe aims to help Melissa with:
- Medical expenses related to cancer treatment
- Lost income during treatment and recovery
- Critical housing needs, so she and her daughter can stay safe and secure during this difficult chapter
Every donation, big or small, will directly support Melissa’s healing and help relieve the immense pressure she is under. If you can't donate, consider sharing this with others.
If you know Melissa, you know how deeply she gives. This is our chance to give back.
Thank you for helping Melissa and her daughter find hope, stability, and strength as they navigate the road ahead.
